When 2007 Grammy Nominee Lisa Haley’s soaring, compelling “cornbread” voice holds court in the “One World Swamp”, worlds collide! Bringing modern Louisiana-roots music to a wide audience reaches far beyond a career playing solely traditional genre. A Blue Fiddle Records “Americana Cajun/Zydeco” artist, Lisa’s intuitive violin, original songs, strong vocals and boundless energy are attracting the world to this fourth-generation “Fiddlist”. When Lisa plays, no one sits! You must dance and dance you will, the night away! Lisa is the protégé of legendary Cajun accordionist Joe Simien and has worked with Sir George Martin, (Beatles producer), multi-Grammy winner/producer KebMo’, Brian Setzer, John Hiatt, producer Sylvia Massy, Dave Koz and a host of others. Lisa’s passion for music is reflected in her ability to ignite the spirits of Americana, Cajun/Zydeco, Christian, Jazz, Rock and Folk fans. She performs worldwide over 150 days a year with her all-star band. Lisa’s renowned band “the Zydekats” includes: Skip Edwards, keyboard/accordionist for Dwight Yoakam/Johnny Rivers; Chuck Alvarez, guitarist for Tim Weisberg; Andy Anders, bassist for Louisiana music legend Joe Simien; and Maria Martinez, drummer for Rita Coolidge/Johnny Paycheck You have heard her magnetic music and violin in movies such as: “The Beverly Hillbillies Movie” (Jim Varney), “Man in the Moon” (Jim Carey), “Red Dragon” (Anthony Hopkins), “The Waterboy” (Adam Sandler), “The Grave” (Anthony Michael Hall) and HBO’s “Mr. Atlas” (featuring Lisa’s critically acclaimed song, “Always be Your Guide”). “Lisa has the Spirit in her, big time…Her music just plain grabs you and takes you over!” “…a Pop approach to Louisiana’s sound…one-of-a-kind corn bread voice…a la the bluesy moans of Janis Joplin…” Visit Lisa Haley's website: bluefiddle.com |
